OBITUARY:
Jennette Frances Clements (Brzezinski); 3/3/ 1932 - 1/13/2020: Jennette "Jan" Frances Clements (Brzezinski), 87 of Dunwoody (Atlanta), GA passed away 13 January 2020. Jan is the daughter of Andrew Joseph Brzezinski II and Leocadia "Lillian" (Winowiecki) Brzezinski and was born 03 March 1932 in Traverse City, MI. She is the eldest of 13 siblings raised on the Cedar, MI family farm. Jan started her 40+ working years at Michigan Bell Telephone Company (ATT) in Traverse City, MI and later transferred to Grand Rapids MI. She also spent time in Grand Rapids at Hertz and Foremost companies. In Grand Rapids, she met and married her life-long love Ernest Loyney Clements on August 26, 1958. The Canadian Ernest preceded her in death January of 1961 and she never remarried. Jan devoted her life to raising their two sons: William James (November 8, 1959), & Ernest Jan (January 28, 1961). Jan ensured that 'family' included both her Brzezinski and Canadian Ernest's Clements families. Holidays & vacations were always 'family events' equally likely on either 'side of the border' or with both sides present. Jan is survived by her two sons: Bill with his wife, Nan Joo, & Ernest with his wife, Nan Young. Jan is also survived by her remaining Brzezinski siblings, Germaine, Nancy (Jim-deceased) Zywicki, Marci (Eric) Andrews, Linda (Tom Walter), and David (Monica). Jan was predeceased by her parents; Andrew & Lillian and her Brzezinski siblings, Sylvia, Ann Marie, Andy (Laura), Gary, Larry, Norma, Mary Beth (Dave) Rataj, Eleanor, Daniel (Maggie), and Joseph (Carol) Brzezinski. She was also predeceased by Ernest's parents Garnet & Winifred (Tressler) Clements, and Clements siblings Les, Bill, Alfred (Lavina), Alec (Sylvia-deceased), Bob (Joan), Joy (Doug Summerville). Jan has many nephews & nieces whom she enjoyed & loved very much. Jan has rejoined those that have predeceased her while the surviving nephews and nieces all share in our sorrow. Sign online guest book at fischerfuneralcare.com. A private local viewing is scheduled this week prior to cremation. All family & friends, will be invited to a remembrance mass and celebration event this summer in Grand Rapids MI. The gathering will be a continuation of Jan's famous 70th Birthday celebration that joined family & friends across the borders in a joyous event. Arrangements by Fischer Funeral Care, Atlanta (678)-514-1000.
